Madonna Lift - Being Featured on CBS "The Doctors" Oct 29th check your local listing

Are you concerned about dark rings under the eyes, wrinkled and loose skin of the upper and lower eyelids? Are your eyebrows beginning to droop and make you look sad all the time? Well, the new Fractional Eyelift has arrived! Using the latest fractional laser resurfacing technology, Dr. Bruce Katz has pioneered this new procedure which is safe and effective with minimal downtime. It takes away dark rings and wrinkles, tightens upper and lower eyelid skin and helps to elevate drooping eyebrows. It has a good number of the benefits of a surgical eyelift without the risks and downtime. The only problem it doesn’t address is bulging fat pads. As metal eye shields are used during the procedure, there is no risk of injury to the eyes. Only a numbing cream is applied to the eyelids for anesthesia and three to five sessions are recommended at 2-3 week intervals.
With fractional laser resurfacing, the laser beam is broken into microscopic columns of laser light. When the beams strike, they leave normal surrounding skin areas intact so the outcome is very quick healing. These columns of laser light take away (or ablate) old, damaged collagen and elastic fibers so that new fresh tissue can grow into these channels. As this occurs, wrinkles and pigmentation are removed, skin tightens and the eyelids are rejuvenated. A recent study in over 300 patients showed consistent and very impressive results.

The Breakthrough Fraxel re:pair Laser System

Laser surgery device leader Reliant Technologies revolutionized the cosmetic skin treatment field this year when it debuted its innovative Fraxel re:pair laser system. Today, the Manhattan-based skin care clinic JUVA Skin & Laser Center is making that advanced technology available to thousands of prospective candidates for the treatment.

The innovation heralded as the biggest development in wrinkle correction in the last decade is now available at the most in-demand New York City skin care facility. JUVA Skin & Laser Center, operated by the internationally famous laser skin treatment pioneer Bruce E. Katz, M.D., is now using the breakthrough Fraxel re:pair laser system in its state-of-the-art Manhattan center.

The Fraxel re:pair system from Reliant Technologies made its debut at the 66th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology in February. It has received rave reviews since its introduction for essentially creating an all-new treatment category in skin resurfacing: Ablative Fractional Resurfacing.

Fraxel re:pair combines the laser-powered skin ablation capabilities that are characteristic of next-generation skin treatments with fractional delivery. Fractional delivery is a treatment process that allows small, specific fractions of skin to be treated individually. This portioning of treatment areas results in much faster and more comfortable recovery periods than those of non-fractional treatments.

As the only FDA-approved laser of its kind, the device uses minimally invasive skin penetration to create results similar to those of traditional laser resurfacing, but without the lengthy recovery and risks of complications associated with the original procedure. The unique design of the system also enables the New York City laser resurfacing staff at JUVA Skin to conduct each procedure with a single clinician, an impossible task with other ablative resurfacing tools.

“JUVA is one of the most comprehensive laser and cosmetic surgery centers in the world,” explains Katz, Director of JUVA Skin & Laser Center. “By adding lasers like Fraxel re:pair to our facility as soon as they’re approved by the FDA, we’re able to stay ahead of the curve and offer our patients the best of the best.”

JUVA’s New York City laser resurfacing experts use Fraxel re:pair to tighten and rejuvenate skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pigmented lesions. Most treatments are completed in a matter of minutes and require no inpatient care.

New SmoothShapes Anti-Cellulite Treatment Helps Fight the Battle

JUVA Skin & Laser Center now offers the SmoothShapes® system for longer-lasting improvement in dimpled skin known as cellulite. More than 85 percent of women will develop cellulite at some point in their life and it can’t be controlled or improved through diet or exercise. Ultra slender supermodels, women devoted to a healthy lifestyle and diet, and even toned athletes can all have cellulite.

“After evaluating the technology and the clinical results, I found that SmoothShapes is an effective treatment for cellulite,” said Dr. Katz. “Patients enjoy it because it frees them of cellulite without downtime, discomfort or side effects. The unique combination of laser and dynamic light therapy, in addition to contoured rollers and suction, give results that provide longer-lasting cellulite reduction, without the need for monthly maintenance.”

SmoothShapes, a new pain-free treatment, uses a combination of dynamic energy and mechanical manipulation to rejuvenate collagen and improve the appearance of cellulite. SmoothShapes is different than other systems because its technology, the 915nm laser and the 650nm light plus vacuum and mechanical manipulation are known for impacting enlarged fat cells and inflexible collagen.

“Patients of every age are concerned about this problem, but until recently we’ve seen technology that wasn’t specific for treating the enlarged fat cells and inflexible collagen that contribute to cellulite,” explained Dr. Katz. “SmoothShapes actually liquefies the fat in cellulite areas and moves it out of the body via the lymphatic system resulting in smoother, tighter skin with improved appearance of cellulite.”

Perfected after seven years of development, the SmoothShapes device uses a proprietary technology called Photomology® which ultimately results in longer-lasting cellulite improvement and the appearance of tighter and smoother skin. Thermal and non-destructive, Photomology’s unique mechanism of action combines dynamic laser and light energy with mechanical massage and vacuum. The treatment uses dynamic laser and light energy to liquefy fat in adipose cells (fat cells) and improve skin texture. Collagen is regenerated, circulation is improved and metabolic processes are restored. The contoured rollers and vacuum massage assist in moving the liquefied fat out through the lymphatic system with a soothing massage that smoothes the appearance of skin.

Smartlipo MPX Procedure Reveals Significant Skin Tightening

Cosmetic patients seeking out the best Smartlipo should be encouraged by a recent study of Smartlipo MPX. The study showed significant improvements in skin tightening and new collagen markers in patients who participated.

A cosmetic patient study is revealing significant results for the latest generation of Smartlipo. New York based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bruce E. Katz, founder and medical director of JUVA Skin & Laser Center, spearheaded a post-marketing study to determine the real-world efficacy of the Smartlipo MPX lipolysis workstation.

Smartlipo MPX, a MultiPlex technology, blends dual-wavelength lasers to dissolve fat cells and tighten skin. Dr. Katz pioneered the original Smartlipo laser liposuction in the United States and led a clinical study on the new Smartlipo MPX to be published in a peer reviewed journal. One year ago, Dr. Katz became the first dermatologist in the nation to implement this Smartlipo procedure.

In this most recent post-marketing study, Katz, who is also Clinical Professor of Dermatology at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, treated 20 subjects who reported unwanted skin laxity and localized fat. In five of these patients, Katz used temporary tattoo markings to measure skin tightening through surface area reduction, and used pre and post surgical biopsies to test for the presence of new collagen markers. The study revealed significant decreases in fat deposits, as well as an 18 percent reduction in skin surface area, following the Smartlipo procedure.

“What the study clearly tells us is that significant skin tightening is a realistic expectation with Smartlipo,” New York JUVA Skin & Laser Center Director Dr. Bruce Katz explained. “Not only that, but the procedure also encourages the formation of new collagen, which is extremely vital to skin tonicity.”

Smartlipo MPX was developed by Cynosure Inc., which develops and markets a broad range of laser and light based aesthetic treatments. Katz’s Smartlipo MPX study was recently presented at the annual conference of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).

Plump, fill, shape and repair at JUVA Skin & Laser Center and MediSpa with Radiesse, the newest non-surgical contouring filler that delivers immediate, longer lasting results. Radiesse is more durable, lasts longer and can be used for a wider range of effects than any other dermal injectable currently on the market, making it the most desired filler by doctors and patients.

Radiesse provides immediate filling of tissue and stimulates tissue regeneration for extended correction. The tiny, smooth calcium particles that make up Radiesse form scaffolding for new tissue to grow around, which then stimulates the creation of the body’s own collagen. This method of contouring provides longer lasting results. Radiesse is commonly used to reduce smile lines and marionette lines, the lines that develop at the points of the lips and reshape the nose, chin, jawline and cheeks.

“Patients no longer have to face the fears of invasive plastic surgery for the results they are looking for,” said Dr. Bruce E. Katz, director of JUVA Skin & Laser Center and MediSpa in New York City. “Radiesse is one of the safest and longest lasting injectables that we offer patients. Laser Skin Treatments Take an Innovative Leap with Pixel CO2

Patients who used to spend weeks in recovery after cosmetic skin treatments can often return to work after a long weekend sporting impressive skin care results, thanks to an innovative new tool. The Pixel CO2 OMNIFIT device reduces aesthetic skin treatment downtime ten-fold, from 30 days to just three. The technology is among the latest treatment tools available to patients of Manhattan based JUVA Skin & Laser Center.

Long-lasting cosmetic results in the span of a long weekend: That’s the promise of Pixel CO2 OMNIFIT skin rejuvenation treatment. Leading New York cosmetic center, JUVA Skin & Laser Center, is now offering patients the benefit of the Pixel device, used for the treatment of acne scarring, sun damage and for laser wrinkle removal.

Patients who have experienced Pixel CO2 report considerable improvement in scarring, sun damage, acne scars and other skin conditions. Because the laser produces little redness and irritation, patients spend significantly less time in recovery, explains Bruce E. Katz, M.D., Director of JUVA Skin & Laser Center.

“This device shortens our patients’ downtime ten-fold,” says JUVA Skin Director Dr. Bruce Katz. “The 30-day recuperation period they might have anticipated with traditional ablative laser treatment is whittled down to just three. This is something a patient can do on a long weekend without anyone knowing they had the procedure.”

Pixel CO2 OMNIFIT was developed by Alma Lasers Ltd., a leading developer and marketer of aesthetic devices that use light, laser and radio frequency technologies in skin rejuvenation treatment. Alma Lasers’ products are typically used for a variety of aesthetic purposes, including laser skin treatments, wrinkle correction and other skin anti-aging care treatments.

“We’re very happy to be able to bring technologies like these to our patients,” Dr. Katz said. “These types of innovations make the experience more pleasant, and ultimately less expensive, for the average user.”

JUVA Introduces Harmony XL for Treatment of 60+ Skin Applications

Harmony XL could be the answer to the prayers of consumers who seek less invasive skin rejuvenation. The multi-functional device’s anti-aging secret is its combination of light and laser based treatment approaches, which targets a variety of skin concerns and types with less post-treatment recovery time. The skin treatment innovation is now available to clients of Manhattan’s JUVA Skin & Laser Center.

Harmony XL, the latest innovation in quick recovery skin rejuvenation treatment, is now available to clients of JUVA Skin & Laser Center in New York. Laser tattoo removal, acne treatment, varicose vein reduction, stretch mark removal, and other procedures are among more than 60 aesthetic applications for which this treatment tool can be used.

Harmony XL, the most recent addition to multiple aesthetic laser and light based treatments, uses a combination of laser, pulsed light, LED, UVB, near-infrared and Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT) to provide treatments as diverse as tattoo laser removal to laser surgery for varicose veins. Interchangeable handpieces lend flexibility to the device, allowing practitioners to use a single therapy or combine therapies to apply a simple laser to tighten skin or adjust the tool for laser removal of stretch marks.

“This is an extremely efficient means for delivering effective skin care treatment,” explains Bruce E. Katz, M.D., the director of JUVA Skin & Laser Center. “Harmony XL combines the flexibility of several laser treatment devices into one compact platform with several handpieces. That means more precise treatment of a wider range of skin concerns and skin types.”

The Harmony XL multi-application system was developed by Alma Lasers Ltd., a leading developer and marketer of aesthetic devices that use light, laser and radio frequency technologies in skin rejuvenation treatment, such as wrinkle correction and other skin anti-aging care. According to Dr. Katz, it is that combination of treatment approaches that makes the technology effective.

“Another even more important advantage to Harmony XL is the benefits to our patients,” says Katz. “They can receive more targeted treatment, achieve better aesthetic results and recover more quickly than with less advanced systems.”

Fractional Eyelift Procedure Reduces Eyelid Drooping and Wrinkles with Minimal Recovery Time

Looking for a youthful appearance without having to go under the knife?

Advances in fractional laser technology have resulted in the Fractional Eyelift, a laser light-based procedure that achieves similar results to a surgical eye lift without incisions. Dr. Bruce Katz of the JUVA Skin & Laser Center pioneered the procedure.

For many, anxiety over cosmetic surgery is enough to bring on a whole new batch of worry lines. The latest laser technology, the Fractional Eyelift, promises to reduce fine lines, dark circles and drooping eyebrows without the trauma of going under the surgeon's scalpel. Fractional Eyelift represents the latest advancement in fractional laser resurfacing technology. The procedure was pioneered by Bruce E. Katz, M.D., board certified dermatologist and director of the JUVA Skin & Laser Center in New York City, who offers the procedure as a safe and effective alternative to surgery.

"The Fractional Eyelift dramatically reduces the appearance of dark circles and eye wrinkles, tightens upper and lower eyelid skin and helps to elevate drooping eyebrows," said Dr. Katz. "It has a number of the benefits of a surgical eyelift without the risks and downtime. The only problem it doesn't address is bulging fat pads."

Metal eye shields are used during treatment to protect a patient's eyes from injury. The only anesthesia needed for the procedure is a numbing cream that is applied to the eyelids. In a recent study of Fractional Eyelift involving more than 300 participants, patients showed dramatic and consistent results, Katz said.

The fractional laser resurfacing procedure works by breaking up the laser light beam into columns that target the area intended for treatment and leave surrounding skin tissues intact. The laser beam ablates damaged elastic and collagen fibers in the skin, allowing new tissue to grow back in their place. Healing occurs quickly and is virtually painless. The end results are fewer wrinkles, a reduction in dark skin pigmentation and tighter skin in the treated areas. In order to achieve the best results from the Fractional Eyelift, Katz recommends three to five sessions delivered at two to three week intervals.

The Revolutionary Accent Dual Mode Skin Tightening Laser

A recent innovation in laser skin treatments combines two radio frequency modes into one device. The Accent Dual Mode RF System uses unipolar and bipolar radio frequency to tighten skin by focusing laser on both shallow and deep tissue depths. The technology is the latest laser wrinkle removal innovation to be offered by New York’s JUVA Skin and Laser Center.

A new skin rejuvenation treatment promises dramatic skin tightening and cellulite treatment with no downtime compared with other skin anti-aging care approaches. The Accent Dual Mode RF System is the latest anti-aging secret to be introduced at Manhattan-based Juva Skin and Laser Center.

Accent Dual radio frequency, or RF, combines two radio frequencies – one that treats thinner skin, such as skin that lies just over bone, and one that penetrates deeper into dermal and sub-dermal tissues. The technology can be used to treat a wide range of aesthetic conditions.

According to JUVA Skin Director Bruce E. Katz, M.D., some of the benefits of the approach are that it is non-invasive, requires no anesthesia, and is a virtually painless skin rejuvenation treatment.

“Skin tightening laser treatments that are less invasive and provide for a speedier recovery are very important to patients now,” explains Bruce E. Katz, M.D., director of JUVA Skin & Laser Center. “The Accent Dual Mode RF System, because it does not use consumables, allows us to treat larger areas of tissues more effectively, making for minimal recovery time compared to earlier treatments.”

Accent Dual Mode was developed by Alma Lasers Ltd., a leading developer and marketer of light-, laser- and radio frequency based aesthetic devices used in dermatology. Clinical trials of the technology demonstrated that Accent was particularly effective in the treatment of skin laxity in the neck.

“The technology can also be combined with other non-surgical facelift procedures to enhance its skin-tightening effects,” Dr. Katz said. “Many patients are noticing a significant difference in skin laxity immediately following treatment.”
